Description
This is a two day interactive programme it will run as 2 days (non consecutive) as this allows the delegates to complete independent work and build in confidence. Delegates will be expected to delivery small micro sessions throughout the programme.
This course will look at all aspects of Safeguarding from Disclosure to Preventative strategies.
On completion of this programme, delegates will be able to:
- Explain the legal framework and guidance surrounding safeguarding and the impact this has on their role.
- Identify both national and local level standard operating procedures
- Recognise the importance of taking a multi-disciplinary approach
- Examine the role of the trainer including methods of delivery and structure
- Implement a training programme to enhance staff engagement and wider promotion of the subject.
- Demonstrate a proactive presence within their organisation to ensure staff and procedural compliance
- Analyse risk factors that influence the likelihood of incidents occurring
- Identify factors that influence the whistleblowing process and how to combat these
- Devise bespoke prevention strategies relevant to your organisation
- Implement person centred care strategies to assist in a prevention strategy
- Identify the importance of Dignity, Choice, Consent, Respect, Individuality and the role these play in reducing allegations
- Examine how the Champion’s initiatives system impact the engagement of the whistleblowing procedure
- Identify the impact confidentiality plays and the role this takes in the disclosure process.
On completion the delegate will be able to support staff complete their Care Certificate, deliver work specific Safeguarding training, implement a Safeguarding Champions initiative, assist in reviewing relevant policies and procedures. They will receive a Two Day Trainers Certificate, allowing them to carry out training within their place of work.
